I am delighted to have another one of my submissions appear in The Upper Room! I again thank God for helping me find the words, and I pray that my writing will help and encourage someone.

For me, writing a devotional is a great learning exercise. It helps me delve more deeply into scripture, including verses I think I already know thoroughly—there is always something more to ponder, fresh insights to consider.

As I write this post it is not yet Thanksgiving, so I have yet to begin my annual ritual. There is perhaps a bit less clutter to clear this year, so small progress has been made on a daily basis.

Thank you for reading, and I pray that you have a day blessed with much joy and peace as we prepare to celebrate the coming of our Savior in human form. May we all remember and honor what is truly important in this holiday season.
